What kinds of aesthetic practices are allowed in Singapore medical clinics?

Aesthetic procedures that doctors can perform in Singapore under conditions specified by the Ministry of Health include chemical and gas/liquid peels, intense pulsed light (IPL) for skin, radiofrequency, infrared, and ultrasound skin tightening and rejuvenation, hair removal with lasers or IPL, photodynamic therapy, photopneumatic therapy, external lipolysis, botulinum toxin injections, filler injections on the face, neck, and hands only, sclerotherapy, threadlifts, lasers for vascular and pigment condition treatment, fractional lasers for skin rejuvenation, ablative lasers for benign tumours, hair transplants, and mechanical dermabrasion.

Certain specialists in Singapore can perform certain procedures not listed above.

Do note that aesthetic practice in Singapore is not considered a medical specialty or subspecialty. Doctors who perform aesthetic procedures may be called general practitioners or family physicians if they do not have specialty training, or be called dermatologists or plastic surgeons if they have specialty training in dermatology or plastic surgery respectively.
