De Quervain's tenosynovitis or tendovaginitis is treated in 3 ways:
1. Oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and splinting
2. Corticosteroid injections
3. Surgery
Most patients will follow a step-wise approach, going on to the next option
once the previous one has failed.
