Elongation of the tip depends on the direction and degree of elongation required.

Often, mild elongation can typically be achieved either non-surgically or minimally invasive surgery.

For non-surgically surgery, the doctor may recommend you use fillers or threads. However, it is good to note that these are not permanent. Meanwhile, for minimally invasive surgery, the surgery may require you to use your own cartilage or a silicone implant. This method is really close to the rhinoplasty approach.

If you would like a more extensive elongation, it would have to be done via an open surgical approach. It will make use of cartilage that’s harvested from the ear or rib.
