Can armpit freckles be removed with laser treatment?

Doctor's Answers 2

Laser treatment is the way to remove this type of unwanted pigmentation. A variety of lasers from Q-switched short pulse, long pulse and even ablative lasers can be useful to remove this. It is also possible for the freckles to darken after the first treatment.

I would recommend you discuss this with the same doctor who did your treatment and understand the various treatment options.

Your skin appears to be quite sensitive and prone to hyper-pigmentation.

You might want to consider Picosecond Lasers for your pigmentation issues as they tend to be gentler on your skin with lower risks of complications.

Please speak to a doctor for more details on treatment options.

Hope that this helps!

Is laser hair removal safe for sensitive skin?

Good that the discoid eczema of your daughter is under control. In any case, Laser treatment may trigger or aggravate eczema, including discoid eczema. This could be due to the irritation from the laser itself or the scratching of the itch after the treatment. Darker skin may be more prone to irritation as well. Sun exposure or other activities (before or after the laser treatment) that cause dryness or darkening of the skin would certainly increase the risk.
