Yes, I agree with Dr. Justin Boey's opinion on clarifying what your provider means by "needleless" Rejuran/PDRN/PN treatment. If it is done using a "needle-less" treatment device such as Enerjet, which is still able to deliver compounds into the skin (intradermal) using jet volumetric remodelling (JVR) technology, this is probably effective.

However, do note that most clinical studies involving Rejuran/PDRN for skin rejuvenation and wound healing properties demonstrated efficacy for injected PDRN (1). A Korean study (2) made a comparison between injected and topical PDRN (cream form) for wound healing and found the injected form to be superior to the topical form.

Intradermal injections of Rejuran/PDRN products remains to be the most efficacious way of inducing skin rejuvenation, healing and improvement (decrease) in melanin content to date (3).

The downtime involved with injected Rejuran is minimal; most patients are able to return to work/normal activity the same day. It is common to have some redness and bumpiness on the skin, but this normally subsides in a day.

Hope this helps in guiding your decision regarding a PDRN/Rejuran treatment!

Regards,

Dr. Joanna Chan
