Can I cut my blister caused by eczema?

Doctor's Answers 1

Generally, I do not advise you to cut out the blister, but you can prick the blister. Because sometimes the blister is so tense that when you press on it, it gets very painful, so what you can consider doing is take a sterile needle and just poke it to let the fluid come out, but do not remove the whole blister. Otherwise, the skin underneath is going to be very raw and painful, so the skin can act as a protection for the raw areas underneath it but you can consider pricking to release the fluid so the blister is not so tense and painful.

Why have laser treatments for my sun spots been ineffective? (photo)

I fully agree with Dr David's advice to take a break from laser treatments for the time being. I also agree with his approach of emphasizing on the diagnosis and holistic approach to skin treatments. IPL is a valuable light treatment and the LASEMD and Dual Yellow are both wonderful lasers for treating solar lentigo and melasma. I highly doubt that adding a picosecond laser would have made a large difference in treating your pigmentation. In fact, there are some studies to show that the long pulse visible light lasers treat lentigenes and melasma better than the pico or nanosecond lasers.

Does facial laser treatment trigger psoriasis?

Thanks for the question. If you have a diagnosis of psoriasis, there is a possibility that certain treatments can aggravate it. With psoriasis, damage or injury to the skin can cause psoriasis to develop at the site of the injury. This is know as the Koebner phenomenon. Therefore, you do have to take care that the treatment is gentle and does not cause any trauma or damage to the skin. Likewise, for eczema, the skin is sensitive and more prone to external insults, so you should avoid treatment if the facial skin is still red or irritated as this can be more easily aggravate by treatment.
