More aggressive TCA peels tend to cause significant post-inflammatory inflammation and has to be used with caution in darker Asian skin types.
Use of TCA peels while on oral isotretinoin, even low dose, will increase the risk of chemical burns and is hence best avoided.
As Dr Wu has pointed out, it is generally safe to commence acne scar treatments whilst on Isotretinoin. Personally, 2 main factors will determine the treatment plan: 1) Condition of your skin If your skin is irritated, flaky and sensitive from the Isotretinoin, then it might be best to delay intense ablative treatments till later so as to minimise the side effects associated with such treatments.
Hi,Your enlarged pores are best treated by a combination of topical retinoids, chemical peeling and energy-based fractional procedures (e. g. fractional CO2 laser, fractional microneedle RF, fractionated picosecond laser). There is little role for subcision and fillers in your treatment. Hope this helps!
