I would advise you to find a dentist to get a thorough dental examination. He/She would be able to advise and plan a list of dental procedures that you will need to improve your oral health.
If cost is a concern, you can always have the attending dentist present a treatment plan to you before proceeding on with any dental treatment. This would also prevent miscommunication.
Dental procedures that are not Medisave claimable:
- Dental examination or consultation
- Scaling & Polishing (Routine or complex)
- Dental Fillings/Crowns/Bridges/Veneers
- Teeth whitening
- Dentures
- Root Canal Treatment
- Tooth extraction
Dental procedures that are Medisave claimable:
- Wisdom tooth surgery
- Dental implant surgery
- Surgical removal of retained roots
In general cases, surgical procedures are mostly Medisave claimable but do take note that you might not be able to use your Medisave for 100% treatment fee coverage as there are limits to Medisave claim submission. Dental fees and Medisave claims are based on the dental procedures you received and case complexity.
Hope you will be able to get your dental issues resolved as soon as possible!
