Can robotic surgery be used for colon cancer treatment?

Doctor's Answer

Robotic surgery can sometimes be used in colo-rectal cancer. It may or may not be necessary. It can be useful in cases whereby the tumour is near vital structures like that of the anal sphincter.

It is best you discuss this with your treating doctor.
