Dr. Gerald Tan graduated from the NUS Faculty of Dentistry in 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in Dental Surgery. He also holds 2 postgraduate qualifications, one from the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgery, and the other from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He has participated in more than 100 aesthetic and dental implant related courses, seminars and workshops to bring the world's latest techniques, technology and knowledge back to his practice in Singapore. He founded Elite Dental Group in 2013, and focuses on aesthetic and implant dentistry. Dr Gerald Tan was voted by his peers to be the youngest and longest-serving president of the Aesthetic Dentistry Society of Singapore (ADSS) from 2012-2016. ADSS also selected him to be on the Singapore Dental Association’s Ethics Committee in 2014. His past experience as a commissioned Dental Officer at the Singapore Armed Forces, National Dental Centre Singapore, SingHealth Polyclinics, and the School Dental Centre, Health Promotion Board enriched him with necessary skills to start his own private group practice in 2013 by the name of Elite Dental Group, with a vision to eliminate severe dental anxiety often associated with complex dental treatment.

Dr Marlene Teo obtained Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with Honours, a prestige only attained by five others before her within NUS's 64 years of history. At NUS she has obtained a total of 11 academic and clinical medals including the Lee Kuan Yew gold medal, the Trautman Silver Medal and the Dr FAC Oehlers Gold Medal, all awards given to the top-performing student. Dr Teo went on to get her Masters in Periodontology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Within that year she was one of four finalists in the Orban competition and was given the North Carolina-AADR Turner Research award.

Dr Gerald Tan graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Dental Surgery from the Faculty of Dentistry, the National University of Singapore in 2003.
As of 2020, he is one of only two dental surgeons in Singapore who is recognized with membership in the prestigious Joint Dental Faculties, Royal College of Surgeons of England, he is one of only 10 dental surgeons in Singapore conferred with a fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists USA. And lastly, as of 2020, he is one of only 2 dental surgeons in Singapore conferred with a fellowship in the Pierre Fauchard Academy USA.
Since graduating in 2003, Dr Tan has travelled to over 35 cities all around the globe and has attended over 100 postgraduate dental seminars, symposiums, exhibitions, courses, and internships at the best and most well-respected dental clinics in the world.
