Does injecting and consuming disinfectant cure Covid-19?

Doctor's Answers 1

Please DO NOT ingest or inject disinfectants.

It is extremely dangerous to do so, and potentially lethal. This includes (but not limited to) bleach, hand sanitisers, Dettol, Lysol. Always follow the instructions on the product label for appropriate and safe usage.

Instead, these are some basic things that you can easily practice to keep safe during the COVID-19 pandemic

  1. Stay home unless you have to leave the house for essential things

  2. Social distancing

  3. Wash your hands regularly with soap and water, or alcohol based hand rub if you have no access to soap and water

  4. Wear a mask whenever you leave the house

  5. Do not touch your eyes/nose/mouth

  6. Cover your mouth when you sneeze/cough

  7. Boost your immunity

  8. Seek medical attention early if you are unwell
