I have eczema from using Atorrege Brightening Essence. What should I do?

Doctor's Answers 1

Thank you for the question.

You may have developed a contact dermatitis to the application of the brigthening essence. This may be due to irritation or allergy to the essence.

It is important to stop using the product to prevent further aggravation of the rash. Use a gentle cleanser to wash the face and moisturize the face with a gentle moisturizer. Avoid using harsh products on the skin as this may further worsen the rash.
If the rash is very bad, you may wish to see your doctor or dermatologist for further assessment. Topical steroid creams may be needed to calm the skin redness and inflammation.

You can also consider doing a patch test which can help to identify if there are any allergens or substances that you may be allergic to so that you can avoid subsequent contact with these substances.

How to treat persistent blisters on the hands due to dyshidrotic eczema?

Thanks for the question. Dyshidrotic eczema is a form of eczema that presents as tiny bubbles on the hands and feet. The rash is often itchy and the tiny bubbles can become more confluent to form larger blisters. The rash can also be painful when the blisters burst and there are raw areas of skin. It is important to avoid harsh soap and detergents and irritants as this can further aggravate the rash. Topical steroids and moisturizers are often prescribed to reduce the inflammation and control the eczema. This should be able to control the eczema in most cases.

How do the different types of contact lenses affect user vision quality and eye health e.g. soft, hard, spherical, toric, RGP, monovision?

In general, soft contact lenses are a lot more comfortable than rigid gas permeable (RGP) contact lenses. They are also much easier to fit, and can give very good vision. Both soft and RGP lenses may be suitable for many people. But each has their potential pros and cons. For example, soft contact lenses maybe a little more drying to the eye than RGPs, and for people with very high spectacle powers, sometimes soft contact lenses may not allow such a long period of wear each day because of issues with oxygen transmission with thick lenses.
