Thanks for the D2D. For patients undergoing acupuncture, some may experience slight bruising or bleeding after acupuncture.

If this occurs, apply small pressure to the affected sites and the slight bleeding should cease soon after, bruising and soreness will usually disappear after a few days.

In rare cases, patients may feel dizzy, weak and nausea during their first treatment. This is normally due to anxiety, poor health or hunger. Should there be any discomfort or concerns during an acupuncture session, inform the physician right away so adjustments to the treatment can be made accordingly. It is also advisable to eat an hour before the treatment to help prevent this.

The main risk of Traditional Chinese medicine fertility treatments are that the patient may be allergic to the herbal medication. Hence, it is very important to inform your TCM physician of any drug allergies you may have so the physician could provide you with an alternative form of treatment should you be allergic.

Other than this, TCM fertility treatments are generally safe and can even be used concurrently with Western fertility treatments to increase your chances of conceiving.

Is Colchicine safe for breastfeeding mothers?

I do agree with what Dr Ethan and Dr Jasmine have written about the risk of colchicine in breastfeeding. For treatment of oral lichen planus, there are many other treatment options available apart from colchicine and you should speak to your doctor and raise your concerns about the use of colchicine while you are breast-feeding and explore if alternative options are available for you.

Congratulations! There are literally textbooks written about this, but I shall summarise them into 5 main pointers for you to take note of: 1. Calculate your due date You can use this due date calculator here. Most doctors will see you when you are about 8 weeks pregnant. 2. Take your vitamins You need to start taking your prenatal vitamins every day.
