Thanks for the D2D. For patients undergoing acupuncture, some may experience slight bruising or bleeding after acupuncture.
If this occurs, apply small pressure to the affected sites and the slight bleeding should cease soon after, bruising and soreness will usually disappear after a few days.
In rare cases, patients may feel dizzy, weak and nausea during their first treatment. This is normally due to anxiety, poor health or hunger. Should there be any discomfort or concerns during an acupuncture session, inform the physician right away so adjustments to the treatment can be made accordingly. It is also advisable to eat an hour before the treatment to help prevent this.
All needles used in our clinics are sterile packed single use needles which are disposed of as biohazardous wastes in accordance with National Environment Agency (NEA) regulations.
TCM herbal prescription consists of several herbs combined to enhance the herbs’ effectiveness and minimizes any possible side effects. Some nourishing herbal medication has the effect of increasing Yang, which may result in slight “heatiness”.
Symptoms include feeling hot, thirsty or difficulty in passing bowels. If necessary, physician may adjust the prescription during subsequent consultation to minimise any discomfort.
Our herbal powder is approved by Health Sciences Authority (HSA). To prevent any drug-herb interaction, observe a 2-hour interval between consumption of herbal medication and western medication.
