Which non invasive facelift treatments can I safely undergo if I have plates and screws on my lower and upper jaw bones? (photo)

Hi! From the picture, it appears that you could have had upper and lower jaw surgery, as well as a sliding genioplasty and braces. Generally, this should not affect non-invasive facelift treatments. You should be able to undergo most of these such as high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU - e. g. Ultraformer, Ulthera), fractional energy devices (such as fractional picosecond, fractional lasers, fractional radiofrequency), fillers, Dysport dermalift, subdermal lasers/radiofrequency or threadlifts. These should be safe provided the proper precautions are taken.

How long does it take for the effects of jaw botox to wear off if the results are unsatisfactory and I wish to regain my old facial structure?

Hi! Jaw botox is a very common medical aesthetics procedure in Singapore that I perform very often. How long does it take for the effects of jaw botox to wear off if the results are unsatisfactory and you wish to regain your old facial structure? It depends! If this is your first time, generally at about 3 months, new nerve connections are established, bypassing the effects of botox. The muscle gradually regains its strength and function over the next 1-3 months. The muscle weakening effect of Botox generally lasts between 4 to 6 months.

What are effective treatments for large pores on dark ethnic skin if chemical peels and fractional C02 laser does not work? (photo)

Hi! From the photo, it appears that you have acne scars rather than large pores. Physical examination in person would allow us to be more certain and advise better on the approach. What are effective treatments for large pores on dark ethnic skin if chemical peels and fractional C02 laser does not work? Dark ethnic skin has more melanin content and is more prone to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), which can be persistent. Chemical peels, with the exception of CROSS technique, are not really what I would recommend for scarring.

Can benzoyl peroxide help with PIE (post inflammatory erythema)?

Hi! Sorry to hear that you are still suffering from Post Inflammatory Erythema (PIE). PIE presents as localized skin redness following any type of skin inflammation and may progress to scarring. Facial PIE improves with time, but very slowly, and in some cases, complete clearance of PIE cannot be achieved. PIE should be understood as a scar with erythematous components and not as a simple erythematous or vascular lesion. You might be able to spot that some of the PIE that have faded may, in fact, have progressed to slightly depressed scars.

How effective is laser treatment for milia around the eyes?

Hi! Sorry to hear that you are troubled by milia around your eye area! Milia are a common cause of lumps and bumps around the eye that I treat very often. They are small, benign, keratin filled cysts that originate from blocked sweat glands. How effective is laser treatment for milia around the eyes? In my experience, laser treatment for milia is very effective. I use an ultrapulse CO2 laser that, due to the ultra-short pulses, delivers a mainly ablative effect with minimal collateral thermal damage.

How to remove Seborrheic Keratosis, and what should I expect during removal? (photo)

Hi! Seborrheic keratosis is a benign skin growth that is one of the most common skin growths. Seborrheic keratosis generally increases in number and size with age, and may be related to accumulated sun damage. How to remove Seborrheic Keratosis, and what should you expect during removal? There are many ways to remove seborrheic keratosis. Personally, I favor the usage of ultrapulse CO2 laser ablation. This is because it is a very precise and controlled way to make sure the entire seborrheic keratosis is removed in 1 treatment (most of the time).
