Can protruding front teeth be fixed with veneers?

Hi Anne-Marie Peters, Veneers are ultra-thin shells of material, which may be made of ceramic (porcelain) or a composite resin, that are bonded to the front of teeth. This procedure requires little or no anesthesia and may be an ideal choice for improving the appearance of the front teeth. However, not every one is suitable for these procedures. In general, veneers are best suited when the tooth are relatively well arranged so that minimal amount of tooth structure needs to be trimmed/ prepared. You mentioned that your two front teeth are sticking out and there is a sizeable gap between them.

Can dentures be used to replace a single missing tooth?

Hi Elaine There are many solutions to replacing a single front tooth and the decision one may make would depend on several factors, like costs and condition of the adjacent teeth, etc Dentures are one of the most economical way of replacing a single front tooth in the short term. However, dentures are generally more uncomfortable as it involves a plastic/metal base that fits over the gum. This would undoubtedly affect your speech and chewing ability. Dentures would also be required to be replaced after a few years, as its fit would be compromised as the supporting bone resorbs with time.

What can I expect during gum contouring in Singapore?

Thank you for your question regarding gum contouring. Gum contouring, as previously described by Dr Kenneth, Dr Kelvin, and Dr Gerald are usually carried out for aesthetic purposes, or for restorative purposes. There is often an ideal golden proportions in most things around us, like how a building requires certain basic structural proportions for it to be stable, or how our nose is in relation to our head. Likewise, there is also an ideal proportion for our teeth in relation to the amount of gums that are being perceived by others.
