About Dr Ing Haan Lim
Dr Lim Ing Haan is an alumnus of Duke University Hospital where she underwent American Board Accredited training in Interventional Cardiology. She has been in private practice in Mount Elizabeth Hospital since 2009.
She received her medical degree from National University of Singapore in 1995, became Member of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2001, and became board eligible in Interventional Cardiology (ACGME, USA) in July 2006. She became a Fellow of the College of Physicians (Edinburgh), Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (USA) and Fellow of the Asia Pacific Society of Cardiovascular Interventions in 2009. She was also invited and became a Fellow of the Indonesian Heart Association in 2015.
Dr Lim Ing Haan was the Director of the Cardiac Interventional Laboratories in Tan Tock Seng Hospital from 2008 to 2009 and where she helped set up the 24-hour 7 days a week acute myocardial infarction interventional service. She served on the Medical Advisory Board in Mount Elizabeth Hospital and as a Chair of the Credentialing Committee in 2015-2017.
Dr Lim’s expertise is in complex coronary angioplasty and stenting. She is a Key Opinion Leader for the cardiac device industry and is the Course Director of several regional Interventional Cardiology conferences. She travels regularly as invited speaker in Interventional Cardiology meetings in Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, China, Switzerland and USA. She is the Commissioning Editor of HeartAsia, published by BMJ, current Co Editor of the Singapore Medical Association News and was an Adjunct Faculty with the Duke-NUS Medical School till 2020.
Her cardiology experience spans more than 20 years. Besides complex coronary intervention, including treatment of chronic total occlusion and saphenous vein grafts, Dr Lim’s interests include Robotic PCI, peripheral intervention of lower limb, sports cardiology, preventive cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, as well as non-invasive and invasive multimodality cardiac imaging. Dr Lim also offers percutaneous mitral valvuloplasty to patients who have severe rheumatic mitral stenosis.
