Dr Gavin Ong obtained his MBBS and MMed at the National University of Singapore. In 2008, he attained his MRCP (UK) and MRCPS (Glasgow, UK). Following after, he became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Dermatology) in 2012 and afterward attained his FRCP at the University of Glasgow and LLM in Medical Law and Ethics in Edinburgh, UK, 2015. He underwent fellowship at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital and St Stephen Centre in London.
At present, he is practicing at The Dermatology Practice @ Gleneagles. Prior to that, he has practiced at National Skin Centre, a visiting consultant at Khoo Teck Phuat Hospital (Still is as the present) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Dr Ong has written and published numerous papers and peer-reviewed journals, also, he has been invited to many local, regional and international conferences. He is also a tutor at the Yoo Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore.
His clinical interests include Sexual Health/Sexually Transmitted Infections and HIV Dermatoses. As the Deputy Head at the Department of STI Control, he has been actively involved in several public sexual health programs and initiatives with the Ministry of Health.
